The city card, in addition to serving a traditional role of a communication ticket may be a way to make exploring the city (region) more friendly, attractive for tourists. This would be called a tourist card pass.

On the city card, which aims to promote interesting places (to visit) in the city (region), the information that may be stored is the right of free entry to museums, shopping discounts, rebates to cafes and restaurants, etc. The card may be issued by name or by the bearer.

Modern system of the city card is programmed on the basis of safe IT technology and chip or magnetic card, authorized by the holder by means of a signature or PIN.
